Prezi is similar to a powerpoint in that you put information into slides, but the transition from slide to slide is much more dynamic. Click the image on the left to view a sample Prezi.

Powtoon lets you create simple cartoon animations by placing words and pictures into slides (kind of like powerpoint) and then controlling how and when these items are displayed on the screen. Click the image on the left for a sample Powtoon.

Toontastic is another cartoon animation tool. You select characters, program their movements, and provide the voiceovers. Be aware that these are time consuming to create, and in the end you will be rewarded with a very cool cartoon.
